Plimsoll Records

New record label “Plimsoll” approached
me to come up with an identity that used a shoe lace to spell out the label
name.
Taking the old “Sugarhill Gang” logo as inspiration I produced
something that was instantly recognisable and has worked well in implementation
across various formats including the record labels that I also design.
A lot of my website traffic comes from the search term "shoelace font". If you are looking for a shoelace logo why not contact me for a quote? The handrawn treatment is 100% more effective than any off the shelf font.

Creative
Soles Logo

Creative Soles approached me to
design their logo after seeing the Plimsoll logo - they already had
the idea that they wanted to use the lace style type. I matched this
with a solid and chunky font to make a logo with strong impact for
their custom footware company.

Soxan

A/V event organisors “Soxan” asked
me to work on a new logo and flyer concept.
The brief was to create a logo
that was contemporary, playful, and something that be easily incorporated
into the flyers of their themed events.
I designed the logo from scratch,
creating the font specifically for the job. The flyer was produced to show
how the logo could easily be linked in to the theme of one of their nights, “Soxan
Spice”.

Aardvark
to Zebra

Aarvark to Zebra is an eclectic
music event that happens monthly in Clerkenwell, London. I was asked
to come up with a logo for the event, and a flyer template.
For the
logo I took a simple approach, working the “A” and the “Z” into
representations of the Aardvark and Zebra.
